Outings and Events
Groups may make their own arrangement for catering service, however, the Zion Park District must receive a copy of the caterer’s Lake County Health Department Food Service Permit, proof of insurance with the Zion Park District listed as additionally insured, and the caterer needs to agree to the rules and regulations set forth by the facility. (For your convenience, the Zion Park District offers a select menu for your outing needs and can coordinate your banquet.)
All beverages must be purchased from the clubhouse or beverage cart, according to golf course policies.
Shotgun Outing representative must provide the Tournament Director with the names and starting times by foursomes at least five (5) days in advance of the outing date to secure cart signage.
Outing golfers must follow all course rules including those pertaining to what the Zion Park District considers appropriate golf attire, cart conduct, and course rules. Any violations of these or any other golf course rules will mean removal of such individual or individuals from the golf course. (Please be aware that appropriate golf attire varies between golf courses.)
Final counts for number of golfers are due 15 days prior to the event date. Event starting time means the time that gofers will be at their respective hole positions to begin their round. Golfer check-in needs to be completed 30 minutes prior to tee time.
Inclement weather may cause for cancellation of golf events. In the case of golf event cancellation, the event may be rescheduled with the Tournament Director. Parties canceling their event within 15 days of the event may be liable for the entire event cost.
Policies & Procedures
Outings for the golf season are limited to a maximum of three per day at the Zion Park District’s discretion. Starting times are listed below for tee time outings:

Outing times may be adjusted at the discretion of the Zion Park District. Outing dates will be awarded on a first-come, first serve basis. No outings will be booked without receiving both the outing contract and the required deposit.
Season Passes, Player’s Club Membership, and/or coupons will not be accepted for group outings. Full outing rate will apply in all circumstances. Play is foursomes, 18-hole only.
Outing representative is responsible to pay the outing balance less any deposit given in advance of the first tee time. Also, the outing representative will pay for all golfers in his/her group with a check, cash, or credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover). Individual payments will not be accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS. Outings are responsible for any damage to any golf course property, golf carts, and/or injury to other golfers.
Non-refundable reservation deposit of $150.00 (for tee time outing) or $500.00 (for shotgun outing) is due with the completed application, and applied to the balance of the payment. Applications not accepted will be refunded their appropriate deposit.

All of the above prices are based on Monday – Thursday occupancy. Shepherd’s Crook will also donate $200.00 of pro shop credit to be used for gift certificates or prizes. For any golfers over 120, there will be an additional charge of $50.00 per golfer. The example below is set for 132 golfers in the month of July:
e.g.: 120 golfer shotgun @ $6000.00 + 12 golfers @ $50.00 each ($600.00),
Therefore, $6600.00 would be due for a 132-golfer event in July.
The initial amount of golfers needed for tee-time outings is 16 golfers. Tee-times for outing are based on $55.00 per person @ 4 players per tee time, which includes carts. Shepherd’s Crook will also donate $5.00 per golfer of pro shop credit to be used for gift certificates or prizes. A deposit of $500.00 for shotgun outings or $150.00 for tee-time outings will be required with the signed contract.
